Attendees can choose to fly to Havana from either Tampa or Miami. (Our tour company Authentic Cuba Travel can help you book your flight.) As you can read in the terms and conditions, do NOT book your flight to Tampa or Miami until you know the time of your flight to Havana.

Our accommodations on this trip look wonderful! We will spend four nights at the historic Hotel Nacional de Cuba. Look online for information about the Hotel Los Jazmines in Vinales, The Hotel Jagua in Cienfuegos, and the Hotel Trinidad del Mar Beach Resort. Make sure you view the "Cuba" hotels online since there are other hotels with similar names around the world.

When you mail your deposit (a non-refundable deposit of $300 per person is required by October 18, 2014) you will be mailing your check to the tour company in Canada, so remember to post your payment with the correct amount of first class international postage.

One last thing! You will need to complete the information requested on this link: as you finalize your plans. The first question on the form is 'Tour Name' so please insert "2015 Presidents Trip."

Prices vary according to group size: $2329 per person in a group of 32 to 40; $2429 in a group of 26 to 31; $2529 in a group of 20 to 25, and $2629 in a group of 15 to 19. Prices are per person based on double occupancy. There is an optional single room supplement of $389. All taxes are included. Remember, a non-refundable deposit of $300 per person is required by October 18, 2014, to secure your participation. Balance of payment is due by March 3, 2015. Airfare and certain fees are extra. Gratuities for tour guides, bus drivers, wait and hotel staff, etc. are not included. Your trip includes 8 breakfasts, 5 lunches, and 5 dinners.

FYI: Your trip to Cuba is covered by a People-to-People License issued by the US Treasury Department (OFAC).

The following is information from the travel agent regarding the ability to use U.S. Currency and credit cards while in Cuba, and converting U.S. money to Cuban money: U.S. credit cards and money do NOT work in Cuba. Cuba is very much a cash-only economy. Travelers from all over the world need to purchase Cuban Convertible Pesos (CUC) upon arrival to the island. The Cuban Convertible Peso is the main currency used by island visitors. All goods and services are priced and paid for in the CUC. The CUC can only be purchased in Cuba. Change your money into CUC at a bank, your hotel, or at a CADECA (Casas de Cambio SA, exchange bureau). The exchange rate is approximately $100 USD = 87 CUC.

Our tour company has provided details regarding trip cancellation insurance. They do not endorse any of the companies; this is just for you to consider. Cuban Health insurance is included in our package, but trip cancellation insurance is not included.

Per our tour company: "Past travelers have found that the following companies will extend coverage to Cuba for U.S. citizens. Our agency does not sponsor these companies, and provides these links on an informational basis only. We strongly suggest that you make independent inquiries."
