Marietta, GA., March 19, 2024 – The Georgia Dental Association (GDA) proudly announces the appointment of Kristen Morgan as its new Executive Director/CEO. With this role, Morgan steps into a pivotal position, bringing forth her visionary leadership and extensive expertise in organizational planning, program development, operations management, and financial planning and sustainability. Collaborating closely with the board, Morgan is poised to further the association's commitment to its members and all Georgia communities. Together, they will amplify the voices and stories of professional dentistry throughout Georgia.

Dr. Jamie Mitchell, President of the Board of Trustees, remarked, "After extensive deliberation regarding the requisite skills, experience, and expertise crucial for moving the association forward, the board unanimously selected Kristen as our Executive Director. Her previous leadership roles within associations have set her apart as a distinguished leader, and we eagerly welcome her to lead GDA into the future." Dr. Mitchell continued, "Kristen's presence at the helm of GDA is a testament to our confidence in her abilities, and we look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly bring."

In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Morgan and her team will spearhead the association's additional products and services through its subsidiary, Georgia Dental Insurance Services (GDIS). Dr. Marshall Mann, Chairman of GDIS, expressed excitement about the future under Morgan's guidance. "We eagerly anticipate the advancement and diligent oversight of our commercial and personal insurance lines, health insurance plans, and Medicare supplements," said Dr. Mann.

Morgan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Georgia State University and a Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from the American Society of Association Executives. She is a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia and a graduate of the Georgia Society of Association Executives Leadership Academy.

"It's an honor to step into the role of Executive Director/CEO at GDA. I'm enthusiastic about continuing the momentum of the exceptional work achieved by both the staff and the board thus far. Looking ahead, I am eager to contribute to GDA's ongoing growth and vitality," said Morgan.

Kristen resides in Kennesaw, GA, with her husband and two children. Her family time revolves around school activities, sports, arts, and travel. On any given evening, she and her husband are most likely to be found cheering at her son's baseball game or encouraging her daughter's artistic talents.
