Georgia dentists can transform lives by volunteering through programs supported by the GDA Foundation. These initiatives provide a meaningful, structured way to help patients with serious unmet dental needs.

Share A Smile

Restore a Smile in Your Community

The Share a Smile program enables dentists to personally nominate a neighbor in need and provide life-changing dental care from their own office. The program removes barriers to charitable care so you can focus on what you do best: delivering high-quality treatment.

How It Works

  • Nominate a patient with unmet dental needs
  • Treat the patient in your own practice, on your schedule
  • Receive lab fee reimbursement (up to $1,000 per approved case)

Share a Smile restores more than oral health—it helps patients regain comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

Donated Dental Services

Care for Georgia's Most Vulnerable Patients

The GDA Foundation partners with Donated Dental Services to connect volunteer dentists with elderly, disabled or medically fragile patients who have significant unmet dental needs.

How It Works

  • Local coordinators review and screen applicants
  • Qualified patients are matched with volunteer dentists
  • Volunteers treat patients in their own offices
  • Participating labs donate materials for dentures, crowns, bridges, and implants

Meet Danny

Danny, who is deaf, communicates through his smile.

A severe dental infection threatened that ability until a Georgia dentist restored his smile through the Share a Smile program, giving him back his brightest form of expression.
