Districts
The Georgia Dental Association is organized into seven geographic districts, each serving as a local hub for connection, leadership, and member support. Districts help ensure that every dentist—no matter where they practice—has access to community, representation, and professional resources close to home.
GDA districts are made up of dentists who live or practice within a specific area of the state. Each district elects its own officers, hosts meetings and continuing education events, and provides a direct link between local members and statewide GDA leadership.
Why Districts Matter
Districts play a key role in how the GDA serves its members:
-
Local Leadership & Representation: District officers represent the needs and perspectives of their region within the GDA House of Delegates and statewide committees.
-
Community & Networking: District meetings create space for dentists to connect, collaborate, and build relationships with colleagues in their area.
-
Education Close to Home: Many districts host CE programs, study clubs, and professional development opportunities tailored to local needs.
-
Stronger Advocacy: Districts help ensure that every part of Georgia has a voice in shaping the future of dentistry.
Who Can Participate?
-
GDA Members: Members are automatically part of the district where they live or practice. They receive district communications, invitations to events, and opportunities to serve in leadership roles.
-
Non‑Members: Non‑members are welcome to learn about district activities, attend select events, and explore how GDA membership can support their professional growth and community connection.
