Sun, sand, and skill-building in Jekyll Island — the perfect combination for your next professional breakthrough. Join us one day before the GDA Annual Convention & Expo begins to explore one of the most in-demand services in dentistry today.
Who This Course Is Ideal For
This Botulinum Toxin training is designed exclusively for dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons who are eligible to administer injectable pharmacologics under Georgia law (Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. r 150-14-.04). It’s an excellent opportunity for clinicians who want to refresh and refine their foundational skills. It is ideal for clinicians who would benefit from a structured refresher of core principles and techniques. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons seeking to expand their knowledge of both aesthetic and therapeutic neurotoxin applications will also find value in this program.
This 8-hour program, provided by Empire Medical Training, offers an in-depth introduction to the clinical use of Botulinum Toxin Type A in dental and related facial applications. The course combines online didactic education with supervised in-person hands-on training to build foundational knowledge, clinical judgment, and technical skill.
Important: Participation in this course does not authorize or certify dentists to administer Botulinum Toxin in the State of Georgia. Participants must already have completed 21 hours of Board approved postdoctoral instruction or an ADA accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery advanced specialty education program to administer Botulinum Toxin in their dental settings.
How It Works
Step 1: Complete the online didactic training at your own pace Participants will complete a self-paced online educational component prior to the live session comprised of educational videos and comprehensive training manuals/course materials.
Step 2: Attend the Four-Hour In-Person Hands-On Session at the Jekyll Island Convention Center on July 1, 2026 The live session begins with a structured review of the online material and an interactive question-and-answer period to clarify key concepts. Under direct supervision from Empire Medical Training's expert instructor Dr. Chris Croley (Chief Medical Officer & Director of Aesthetics), participants will inject live volunteer models using 40 units of neurotoxin provided by Empire. This supervised injection training focuses on facial assessment, injection site mapping, dosage calculation, and safe administration techniques. All supplies, including syringes and neurotoxin, are included in the training.[EJ3] [CC4] The session will include demonstrating your proficiency to the course instructor(s) and a knowledge test.
Important: Participants must provide their own live model for the hands-on portion of the course. If a model cannot be secured, it may be possible to pair participants with another attendee but not guaranteed. Free cancellations until June 17th, after that no refunds will be offered.
