- Tom Brooks - Tom Brooks is a Partner in Moore Colson’s Business and Financial Advisory Practice Area. Tom has more than 30 years of experience assisting public and privately held companies with valuation and litigation support. He has served as an advisor to his clients, working closely with owners and senior executives to assist them with strategic planning and goal setting to maximize value. Tom has advised companies, from startups to organizations with more than $1 billion in revenue, on the valuation of their businesses, business interests and intangible assets for mergers and acquisitions, gift and estate planning, financial and tax reporting, charitable giving, strategic planning, shareholder disputes, commercial litigation and marital dissolution. He has made presentations for the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Atlanta Alumni of Retired Revenue Agents, Georgia Tech, LaGrange College and Merrill Lynch seminars. Before joining Moore Colson, Tom was a Principal at a CPA and consulting firm in Atlanta, where he launched and led the business valuation practice.
- Brenda Christmas - Brenda Christmas is a Senior Manager in Moore Colson’s Business and Financial Advisory Practice Area. She specializes in financial statement preparation and analysis, tax compliance, budgeting and forecasting, payroll administration and outsourced accounting solutions, serving clients in healthcare, professional services and other privately held business sectors. Brenda is known for her ability to build strong relationships while helping businesses improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial processes and maintain compliance with evolving reporting requirements.
Brenda's professional background includes more than 25 years of experience in accounting, advisory, payroll and financial management services. At the firm, she oversees complex client engagements, coordinates accounting and software advisory services and manages project workflows. She also mentors and supervises staff, and provides strategic guidance related to financial reporting, cash flow management, account reconciliations, payroll tax compliance and process improvement. Her experience includes managing close processes, supporting internal and external audits, and back-office accounting operations. Prior to joining Moore Colson in 2017, Brenda served as a Senior Accountant with a local accounting firm in Marietta, Georgia, where she prepared and analyzed financial statements, managed tax compliance engagements and provided accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base.
