Radiation Safety On-Demand

This six-hour, on-demand Radiation Safety course is designed to train dental staff on safety techniques regarding x-rays and equipment. All subject categories required of individuals operating radiation machines will be covered, including protection against radiation, beam limitations, and machine functions. 

Recorded in May 2024, this two-part, on demand webinar teaches the components of radiation safety in dentistry. The completion of Parts 1 and 2, in addition to the post-course exam, will provide the six (6) hours of education required by the Georgia Board of Dentistry prior to using x-ray equipment.

Cost: $189.00 for GDA members/$269.00 for non-members

To complete the course, you must:

1. Watch the Part 1 webinar in its entirety
2. Watch the Part 2 webinar in its entirety
3. Complete the post-course, 25-question exam with a 75% or above (Note: Once started, the test must be completed within seven (7) days. Two (2) test attempts will be allowed. There will be a $25.00 test fee for a third attempt. Additional attempts may require retaking the course.)

A course presentation PDF will be available to download for review during and after the course.
