Georgia Mission of Mercy Brings Care, Compassion, and Relief to Atlanta
On April 18 and 19, 2026, the Georgia Mission of Mercy (GMOM) returned with a newer clinic model at The Ben Massell Dental Clinic. Hosted by the Georgia Dental Association Foundation, this two-day event united dental professionals, volunteers, and partners from across the state with one shared purpose: providing critical dental care to those who need it most.
Over the course of the weekend, more than 200 patients received care, and over 300 procedures were completed. Each number represents more than a service. It represents relief from pain, restored confidence, and a renewed sense of hope. For many patients, this was not just a dental visit, but a life-changing experience.
GMOM focuses on treating urgent needs such as pain and infection while also laying the groundwork for long-term oral health. Access to dental care is about more than healthy smiles. It impacts overall health, the ability to work, and quality of life. Events like GMOM highlight the ongoing need for accessible care and the importance of early intervention and prevention across Georgia.
